Welcome 2010

It’s a new year, which is a great time to reflect on all the things that happened last year and make goals to work toward in the future. A new year is a time to wipe the slate clean, forgive past mistakes, and work towards a more positive future. As I look forward to the new year, I took some time to reflect on the top five moments of last year and some reasonable goals for this year.

My Top Five Favorite Moments of 2009:

1) I got engaged!!

2) I finished my first book

3) I quit my job to become a writer (the dream job)

4) Fun trips to Vegas, North Carolina, and San Francisco

5) Peterson Family vacation at the ocean

My Top Five Goals for 2010

1) Get married (still don’t have a date nailed down)

2) Find someone to publish my book

3) Write two more books by year end.

4) Get down to target weight, or lose 20 lbs by year’s end

5) Get more time with Trenton and take more family trips together.

I think this is going to be a good year for me. Last year was pretty good and I took many steps towards fulfilling dreams; like writing and finishing a novel. This year, I hope to build on my goals and dreams while throwing in the age-old ‘lose weight’. Number 5 may be out of my control, but I can hope for miracles.

  2. I thought for sure that the ‘Kari visit’ would have been on your top five! I’m disappointed. I mean, I had the time of my life going to the lake with you and risking hypothermia. 🙂 love you! so glad to know you are HAPPY!!! 🙂
